This report from the National Institute of Justice presents information on the final reports submitted for programs that received U.S. Department of Justice grant funds during Fiscal Year 2010.
Abstract
The reports listed in this document were submitted to the U.S. Department of Justice, National Institute of Justice (NIJ) as required under the terms of the funding received as part of NIJ's Convicted Offender DNA Backlog Reduction Program (In-House Analysis and Review). The first part of the report lists the Fiscal Year 2010 (FY2010) recipients, the Federal grant award number, and the amount awarded under the program. The recipients include State and local police departments, State Bureau of Investigations, State Departments' of Public Safety, and State Departments' of Health and Social Services. Following the listing of the FY2010 award recipients are the abstracts of the final reports submitted for each program. For all projects, the preliminary information lists the FY2010 recipient's name, the Federal award number, and the award amount. Under the final report section, the information provided for some of the projects includes the objectives and results of the program, while for other projects the only information provided is that no final report has been issued because the project is still in progress.
