Money Smart: Coming Soon to a Safe Haven Near You
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and CCDO signed a partnership agreement at the FY 2005 Weed and Seed Application Kit and Training Workshop in March. The partnership enables 75 Weed and Seed sites to launch or expand financial literacy offerings in neighborhoods most affected by crime and violence.

Earn It, Keep It, Save It: Phoenix Weed and Seed Launches EITC Campaign
Garfield families are getting help claiming thousands of dollars of earned income tax credits (EITC) and child tax credits. Garfield is one of three pilot sites opening Volunteer Income Tax Assistance centers this tax season as part of a larger CCDO partnership with the Internal Revenue Service to open 50 centers by 2006.
