About the Authors
The Crime and Justice Research Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
was formed to conduct, disseminate, and facilitate research on a
broad array of important crime and justice concerns. Recent research
projects have been funded by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment,
the National Institute of Justice, the National Institute of Mental
Health, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Pennsylvania Commission
of Crime and Delinquency, the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the
Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, the city of Philadelphia, and the
State Justice Institute.
