Empathy, positive self-worth, dependability, and sharing are desirable facilitator characteristics.Instructor training workshops last from 2 to 4 days, depending on the group's level of sophistication. Costs also vary, depending on whether the workshops are sponsored by the agency (such as a church, YMCA/YWCA, or Boys & Girls Club) seeking to implement the Nurturing Parenting Program or whether the training is sponsored by the community and participants register individually. In the latter case, registration fees generally average $125 per workshop.
