EUDL Audio Teleconferences. OJJDP’s Enforcing the Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) program supports initiatives to enforce laws that prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors and to prevent the purchase or consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. The EUDL Training Center offers a series of audio teleconferences. Upcoming conferences include Effectiveness of School-Based Programs (May 20, 2003), Working Together To Enforce Underage and Other Alcohol Violations (June 5), Effective Strategies: Alcohol Purchase Surveys (June 9), and Evaluating Prevention Effectiveness (June 19). Missing Children’s Day. May 25, 2003, is National Missing Children’s Day. Related events include the eighth annual Congressional Breakfast and National Missing and Exploited Children’s Awards Ceremony, scheduled to take place May 21 in Washington, DC. The ceremony will honor law enforcement officers for recovering missing children and investigating exploitation cases. OJJDP and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) are also planning to hold a ceremony in observance of Missing Children’s Day.
