"Arrest-Related Deaths in the United States, 2003-2005" (NCJ 219534, 8 pp.) provides counts of all arrest-related deaths reported by 47 states and the District of Columbia over a 3-year period (2003-2005). It includes information on the cause of death, characteristics of the deceased, and circumstances involved in the death. It also profiles manner of death, including homicides, suicides, alcohol or drug intoxication deaths, accidental injuries, and fatal medical problems. (BJS)

"HIV in Prisons, 2005" (NCJ 218915, 8 pp.) provides the number of HIV-infection and confirmed AIDS cases in state and federal prisoners during 2005. It includes the number of AIDS-related deaths, a profile of inmates who died, and the number of prisoners who were HIV infected or had confirmed AIDS, and compares confirmed AIDS rates to the general and prisoner populations. "Law Enforcement Intelligence: A Guide for State, Local, and Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies CD-ROM" (NCJ 220567) is an electronic version of the 2004 print publication. The guide is targeted to managers, supervisors, and officers tasked with developing or reinvigorating their intelligence function. The CD-ROM also includes other related documents such as "The National Criminal Intelligence Sharing Plan" and "Fusion Center Guidelines." (COPS)

"Planning and Managing Security for Major Special Events: Guidelines for Law Enforcement" (NCJ 220565, 128 pp.) offers examples of effective approaches used during events of regional and national importance. These events, which often include VIPs and political figures, are also potential targets for terrorists, criminals, and protesters. "Juvenile Court Statistics, 2003-2004" (NCJ 218587, 172 pp.) describes delinquency cases handled between 1985 and 2004 and petitioned status offense cases handled between 1995 and 2004 by U.S. courts with juvenile jurisdiction.
