Older Americans

Since 1963, May has been observed as Older Americans Month. This commemoration provides an opportunity to promote safer, healthier communities by educating seniors and other members of the public about abuses committed against our Nation's elder population as well as other dangers faced by the seniors.

In recognition of Older Americans Month, and for use throughout the rest of the year, NCJRS presents this compilation of resources addressing crime and safety topics associated with elders.
