NCJRS Web Site Celebrates 10th Anniversary with a Redesign and New URL

Since its launch in 1995, the NCJRS Web site—and the information needs of its audience—have evolved greatly. Our latest site upgrade provides you with powerful new tools to access the ever-growing collection of justice information. These include—

Easy Sitewide Search

You can now search all of NCJRS's databases with one click. Simply enter a keyword into the search box and instantly search NCJRS publications, the abstracts database, related links, conferences, other Federal justice Web sites, and a new questions and answers (Q&As) database.

Questions and Answers Database

Search a database of hundreds of Q&As related to criminal justice, juvenile justice, substance abuse, and NCJRS services. Find answers to questions like What is a witness protection program? Or How can I register for NCJRS services?

Express Shopping Cart System

Order publications and products on the fly. If you see one of these icons next to a publication title, just click on it to drop the item into your cart. Browse the Publications and Products list to see what is available to order. Shipping and handling charges may apply, but downloading is always free.

More Topics

NCJRS has expanded the number of topics available for browsing. By clicking on one of the main topics in the left navigation bar (e.g., “Corrections” or “Courts”) you'll find links to related publications, questions and answers, and conferences—plus an extensive list of subtopics to help you further narrow your search.

• NCJRS has also updated its library portal to give you easy access to the abstracts database and NCJRS Thesaurus searches.
• The account management section lets you log in to update your mailing information, manage your preferences, or check the status of an order.
• Check out the spotlight section for quick access to data on topics of current interest.
• Visit the site map to learn more about what features the NCJRS Web site now offers.

As a federally funded clearinghouse, NCJRS has also changed its Web address to www.ncjrs.gov. Don't forget to update your bookmarks for the new NCJRS Web site.
