Abstract
By using data from a number of studies on this poorly defined population in Calgary, Alberta, the characteristics of running behavior are identified to be able to generate a typology of running behavior. Socio-psychological descriptions of the problems behind the behaviors are provided. The notion of a safety net of approaches and resources for service intervention are also discussed. 3 figures and 17 references. (Author abstract modified)
