This is a guide to raising resources for a Teens, Crime, and the Community (TCC) program.
Abstract
The guide is intended to help individuals who wish to start a TCC effort as well as those who wish to maintain or expand TCC efforts. The document is divided into four main sections: (1) The Fund Development Process outlines basic principles applicable to nearly every resource development project, from raising resources for a single action project to funding a statewide TCC initiative; (2) Strategies for Direct Implementers focuses on determining needs for direct implementation and identifying sources of funding; (3) Strategies for Multi-Site Management emphasizes determining needs for multi-site management and identifying sources of funding and support. It includes information on several sources of Federal funds and the application process; and (4) Grant-Writing Tips provides fund development pointers to use in resource development efforts, including the basics of grant writing, a fund-development timeline and TCC quotes and evaluation data to include in funding proposals.
