This is the second volume of the Idaho Alcohol Safety Action Project (ASAP) fourth annual report; it contains countermeasure reports and abstracts of five analytic studies which are bound separately.
Abstract
The five analytic studies which are abstracted focus on ASAP impact, efficiency of the Alcohol Emphasis Patrol, the flow of arrested DWI offenders through the traffic safety system, drinker diagnosis and referral activity, and relationship of project efforts to the ASAP community. Detailed reports are presented for the following 18 ASAP components, or countermeasures: project management; evaluation; public information and education; court alcohol school; student alcohol education; driver testing, licensing, and regulation; driver regulation; magistrate training; prosecution assistance; presentence investigation; alcohol emphasis patrol; social rehabilitation; legislative, legal, and regulatory; medical advisory board; chemical laboratory and expert witness; and alcohol data bank. Each report indicates highlights of countermeasure activities, an analysis of expenditures, charts showing expenditure rates, overrun or underrun information on the expenditures, analysis of the countermeasure efficiency, and an anlysis of the impact on the project.
