Abstract
It appears that for some sex offenders this drug reduced markedly the risk of recidivism -- especially for paraphiliacs -- and thus allows for serious consideration of a community-based treatment program. Defense counsel may well be surprised that this is viewed as an option and prosecutors and judges faced with the problems of sentencing the sex offender may want to consider this alternative.
