Abstract
Hypnotic inductions of rape, kidnapping, robbery, or attempted murder victims or witnesses may often lead investigators to sufficient identifiers to enable them to locate perpetrators, vehicles, or crime scene locations. These victims are able to overcome the stress of 'memory blockage.' Their memory is enhanced or returned. Forensic hypnosis can be of great utility to the private investigator, as well. This paper covers cases and gives examples in which reliable information was developed by the professional private investigator. (Publisher abstract)
