The rationale and constituent procedures of Structured Learning, a prosocial skills training intervention designed for antisocial and asocial adolescents, is described.
Abstract
The characteristically modest potency of such approaches with regard to the transfer to community functioning of skills learned in training contexts led us to add to seek to increase the potency of Structured Learning. An anger management procedure, Anger Control Training, and a moral education intervention, Moral Reasoning, were added to constitute a combined intervention package labeled Aggression Replacement Training. Its specific curricula and preliminary evaluation with a sample of 60 incarcerated adolescents is described. (Author abstract)
