Abstract
Activities pertaining to the trial courts include continuing education and training programs, desk and research aids for U.S. district courts, automated case and court management support for district and bankruptcy courts, district court management, research on the trial process, jury projects, and improvement of advocacy in Federal trial courts. The center's Federal sentencing and probation activities include continuing education and training, research, and a probation information management system. Activities pertinent to the appellate courts also cover continuing education, research, and information management systems. Activities with systemwide impact are educational programs, an assessment of the needs for new judgeships, and information and liaison activities. A list of center publications and a subject index.
