This study discusses the law enforcement problems faced by Navajo police officers on their reservation.
Abstract
Many Navajo leaders claim that Federal legislation and law enforcement personnel exacerbate several of these problems and fail to provide justice and protection for Navajos on their reservations. One solution offered by Navajo leaders is tribal sovereignty on reservations. (Publisher abstract)
