This manual presents the codebook, coding scheme, study instrument, and descriptive summary for a study of drunk driving recidivism in Minnesota.
Abstract
The study obtained information on the charging and sentencing of drunk driving offenders and repeat offenders. Variables listed in the codebook include charge, conviction, sentence, number of alcohol and nonalcohol-related violations, subsequent action, sex, age, and sentencing date. Defendants selected were those sentenced to jail, probation, or fine.
