The case dispositions of criminal defendants with a history of temporary trial incompetency were compared to dispositions of the criminal defendant population in Atlanta, Georgia.
Abstract
The comparison revealed no significant intergroup differences in respect to sentencing patterns. In regard to prosecution rates, temporarily trialincompetent defendants were significantly more often prosecuted for the crimes of trespass and rape. (Publisher abstract)
