Crime trends are compared for each offense over 1984 and 1985. The rate for each offense is portrayed by population and by time. For violent offenses, the data cover weapons used, victims and offenders by age and sex, and the relationship of victim to offender. Data on property offenses encompass the value stolen and the location of offenses. Burglary data address the entry methods and time of offense (day or night). Motor vehicle theft is broken down by type of vehicle, and the value of vehicles recovered is indicated. Arson data cover the type of property involved. Other data pertain to police officers assaulted, domestic assault, juvenile arrests, and adult arrests. Crime statistics are broken down by county.
