Abstract
The Criminal Code of 1979 is designed to meet the demands of modern Missouri through a systematic, orderly, and consistent body of criminal law. The adoption of the code involved the repeal of over 640 statutes and the adoption of 222 new sections in lieu thereof. The format of the book presents an alphabetical listing of all subjects covered in the code. Code specifications related to each topic are explained, followed by an analysis of court decisions interpreting the relevant code sections. References to code sections and cases are listed at the end of each subject discussion.
