The information system that monitors the King County caseload uses a software program that monitors each case from the initiation of the criminal complaint through the final adjudication of any appeal. In addition, through printers connected to the information system, the software generates much of the paperwork necessary for the prosecutor's files, such as criminal complaints, and grand jury indictments. The system also generates productivity reports on each assistant. Specialized programs also include computerized fingerprint matching and witness court notification.
