The manual then provides general policy statements applicable to institutions, community residential facilities, and community supervision offices. Separate sections designate policies and procedures applicable to staff and offenders under each of the three types of offender management. An integral part of the program is a computerized management information system that permits remote data entry by local grievance coordinators, headquarters monitoring and auditing capability, grievance indexing, online synopsis of the status of individual grievances, and onsite generation of statistical reports.
