Handprinting exemplars from 48 persons were studied to determine the extent of their internal consistency and the relationships among similarly constructed letters.
Abstract
Several parameters were examined including: ratio; design features among the a, b and d; design features among the lower zones of the g, j, and y; relationship between the m and n; relationship between the u and v. It was found that it was common for letters of similar construction to be related, there were also some significant exceptions. (Publisher abstract)
