Guidelines cover the implications of an offender's having AIDS or AIDS related complex (ARC) for the presentence investigation, confidentiality, antibody testing, staff education, client education, provision of services, supervision, and information reporting. Extensive appendixes provide reprints of publications examining medical, psychological, and social aspects of AIDS and ARC. Also covered are the relationship between AIDS and drug addiction and AIDS in correctional settings. A listing of service resources (financial, housing, treatment, mental health) for AIDS victims also is provided. Legal issues related to AIDS are covered in a question-and-answer format. Two pamphlets and three brochures provide additional information about the transmission, causes, and treatment of AIDS.
