An analysis of why many conflicts are not mediated suggests two strategies to increase the use of mediation. Additional papers discuss the use of divorce mediation in family service agencies and the development of a speaker's bureau to market mediation. Further discussions recommend the mediation of child support disputes, based on the author's experience as a hearing examiner, and present procedures to guide the mediator during a crisis in the mediation process.
