Not surprisingly, the AIDS calamity has emerged in prison and with frightening prospects.
Abstract
Inmates tend to belong to high-risk groups or to engage in high-risk homosexual behavior. The closed world of the prison combined with the legal obligation to provide care to the victim and prevent further victimization creates awesome legal and human problems. The legal problems are just beginning to emerge and the author provides us with a comprehensive look at the issues. Obviously, this is not the last word. What is known about AIDS changes so rapidly that any article is threatened with obsolescence. (Author abstract)
