Cases assessed in September 1983 were followed through September 1985. Two methodological problems compromise slightly the comparability of the two studies. In a 2-year period, 39 percent of releasees had a prerevocation warrant issued and 27 percent were revoked; these data appear to be comparable to recidivism rates for other States. It appears that the salient factor score continues to accurately distinguish degrees of risk. Additional research requires an outcome measure that measures, more completely than revocation, postrelease outcome. Tabular data and graphs.
