It is difficult to treat adolescent substance abuse in court-mandated first offender and diversionary programs, particularly when the adolescent has no established alcohol or drug history.
Abstract
A family therapy model for working with these 'no-problem problem' families is presented, and applications of this model are illustrated through a case example. This model also has applicability, regardless of the presenting problem, to a wide range of families in therapy who do not believe that a problem exists. (Author abstract)
