Abstract
Advice on the right kind of food to give children focuses on the different age levels, including the fetus, the newborn, the very young child, and preschool and young school-age children. Tips on keeping children clean and healthy are also distinguished according to the child's age. Guidance covers the importance of frequent diaper changes, what to do when the baby has a fever, clothing, and signs of illness. Advice on child safety addresses common dangers for newborns, crawlers, toddlers, preschoolers, and young school-age children. Suggestions for the amount of sleep a child needs focus on the various age levels. Advice on the attention children need addresses the cultivation of the parent-child bond, child-parent activities, and appropriate discipline. Drawings illustrate the concepts discussed.
