This report summarizes corrections research that Federal agencies had completed or were conducting as of early 1987, based on a search of the Federal Criminal Justice Research data base.
Abstract
The research projects focus on the following topics: classification systems, community release, juvenile corrections, prison management, recidivism, sentencing, specific types of offenders, and other subjects. For each topic, National Institute of Justice research is listed first, followed by that of other agencies. Projects are arranged chronologically by their end date, with the most recent projects listed first. The listing for each project includes its title, timetable, contact person, address, telephone number, and a summary of the project goals and results.
