This article surveys recent decisions of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals in several areas of criminal procedure.
Abstract
The article discusses holdings in criminal cases dealing with pretrial procedure, specifically, the court's findings in cases dealing with probable cause to arrest, drunk driving arrests, and Miranda rights. Additionally, the article surveys the court's decisions in criminal cases dealing with the following areas of trial procedure: voir dire, double jeopardy, prosecutorial misconduct, bad acts and other crimes evidence, and the closing argument. 215 footnotes.
