NCJ Number

Annotation
There is great concern over the present debate with regard to the presence of any inborn or biological predilection toward crime and deviance.
Abstract
The concerns are real: they involve, among others, the question of responsibility of the offender, the use of the data for racist or sexist purposes, their use for the dismantling of social programs. The authors contend that these issues are irrelevant to the scientific ones, but that one must proceed with caution and take preventive measures to see that findings are not misused.
