This study examined return rates for 129 participants in the Mount McGregor, N.Y., correctional facility alcohol and substance abuse treatment program who left the program in 1983.
Abstract
Of these, 121 were classified as unsatisfactory participants. Participants were followed up for a minimum of 12 months after release. A comparison of satisfactory and unsatisfactory participants was not possible due to the small number of unsatisfactory participants. Return rates for satisfactory participants was 20.9 percent, considerably lower than the projected rate of 28.3 percent.
