In its report to the Canadian Federal Government in 1984, the Committee on Sexual Offenses Against Children and Youth concluded that criminalization would be the only effective way of providing juvenile prostitution with guidance and assistance.
Abstract
This paper questions the logic of the committee's recommendations for law reform by reinterpreting its findings in the light of information provided by a further 272 interviews with prostitutes conducted for the Special Committee on Pornography and Prostitution. (Author abstract modified)
