The State's Criminal Justice Division administers Federal funds under several national laws and performs several other functions in State government. Its annual plan has been restructured for the 1989 fiscal year, so that goals and strategies are published separately from other materials. Programs available for funding through the Criminal Justice Division address the following areas: prevention, detection, apprehension, prosecution, diversion, punishment, rehabilitation, and victim assistance. Funds are available for training, direct and support services, program development, information systems, facilities, coordination, research, program evaluation, and interagency efforts.
