The Alco-Sur is a portable breath screening device for determining blood alcohol concentrations. The accuracy and reliability of the device were evaluated using both standard alcohol solutions in simulators and human drinking subjects.
Abstract
The intoxilyzer 4011 AS, an approved instrument, was used for comparison purposes in the human subject testing. Reproducibility was established using consecutive simulator trials and the effect of temperature on response was verified. The Alco-Sur met the standards as specified by the CSFS Alcohol Test Committee for an approved screening device. (Author abstract)
