This article outlines the benefits of a FAX system to police departments in South Carolina and Illinois.
Abstract
It is reported that police departments are using FAX machines to fax booking pictures, rap sheets, and fingerprint cards. Brand names of FAX machines, types of models, and cost are discussed. The article describes how to obtain the Dial-A-Fax directory, enabling FAX users to find other users. Potential benefits of the machine are discussed by officers who do not have access to the equipment, such as transferring photographs and rapidly transferring warrant facsimiles.
