Abstract
Weapons designed with sharp edges and/or points for cutting or stabbing in close combat and that can be used for throwing at targets up to 30 feet away are depicted, including such devices as buckle knives; ninja darts; shuriken; sword canes; and knives disguised as money clips, lipsticks, pens, and combs. A section on firearms features weapons designed to fire projectiles from items ranging from cufflink-sized to those the size of a walking cane. Included are belt-buckle and ring guns, sawed-off shotguns, highway flare shotguns, and sound-suppressed firearms and silencers. Explosive devices include those designed for simple harassment to those capable of causing fatal injuries. These include directional mines, devices for guarding drug crops, hand grenades, flame throwers, and incendiary devices. Illustrations also are provided of containers designed to conceal legal and illegal objects or substances. Methods and devices are described for converting semiautomatic firearms to fully automatic function. Finally, miscellaneous devices are described including martial arts weapons, improvised handcuff keys, and stun guns.
