Thus, all educational decisions are centered on meeting each student's learning style and learning needs, on people eager to discard ineffective approaches and search for better ways, on teachers and principals with a clear verbalized understanding of their mutual high capabilities and expectations of success, and on teachers with attitudes and actions that promote excellence in student attitudes and achievements. Collaborative work behaviors that produce a productive school climate include a focus on common goals, continuous dialogue among staff, shared decisionmaking, planned action, and periodic reflection and feedback. Finally, professional productivity is promoted through ongoing staff development, mutual confidence and rapport among students, teachers, parents, and principals; and staff behaviors that show deliberateness, involvement, and concern.
