Abstract
Bibliographic entries cover court-mandated male batters, battered women and their families, batterers' reports of recidivism after counseling, a community approach to domestic violence, and guidelines for criminal justice agencies involved in handling family violence cases. Entries also deal with domestic violence and community health care ethics, psychological and legal dimensions of family violence, the effect of batterer counseling on shelter outcome, intervention with abusive partners, the expanding judicial system role in domestic violence, tactics of men who batter, psychosocial characteristics of batterers, and recurring violence during treatment.
