There are many threats to reliable and secure transborder data communications in today's international neural network environment.
Abstract
A large part of this data is critical to the operations of governments, international organizations, the financial community, transnational corporations, research and development activities, and medical and educational institutions. Much of this data is sensitive and must be protected from unauthorized disclosure. There are cost-effective and sensible countermeasures that can and should be implemented such as, the establishment of data privacy and security laws, the implementation of data vulnerability assessments, and the installation of physical and logical controls. 1 figure, 1 reference.
