The NOCOPI Document Security System is a patented product developed specifically to protect documents from unauthorized photocopying or facsimiling.
Abstract
This product consists of five grades of security paper, each offering a successively higher level of document protection. When someone tries to photocopy or fax away the information on NOCOPI paper the result is either hard to read, totally black, or somewhere in between. The NOCOPI papers work best when the confidential information is printed directly with a laser printer. Copies can be printed on other pieces of NOCOPI paper. The security this paper provides can be circumvented by retyping the entire document, so the paper should not be considered the sole protection device for a document. Table.
