BombCAD is a computer-aided analysis technique for assessing the damage to diverse structures resulting from a specific explosion intensity inside or near the structure.
Abstract
BombCAD can analyze the vulnerability of a specific facility to a bomb attack. It is also useful in designing and evaluating the siting, screening, and hardening or softening aspects of comprehensive bomb defense programs. BombCAD combines the extensive architectural and engineering database and graphics capabilities of modern architectural computer-aided design systems with the computational capability of the "SECUREPLAN" BOMB UTILITY. BombCAD computes and displays the approximate three-dimensional volume of the structure and the impacts of the bomb on the CAD model of the structure. Tables, figures, and 4 references.
