Advances in computer graphic technology have had a dramatic influence on the design of colour printers in the 1980s.
Abstract
The principal operating mechanisms of dot-matrix, thermal and ink-jet colour printers are discussed. Close scrutiny of samples generated by several different impact and non-impact colour printers has disclosed certain characteristics which will assist in determining the possible source of a particular questioned document.
