This volume, the second of a two volume work, provides the legislative and policy history of the Federal Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984 (CCCA) as well as detailed analyses of specific parts of the statute. This 1988 supplement also includes analyses of related criminal law legislation enacted after 1984 and before 1988 as well as the full texts of the Federal Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984, the Criminal Fine Enforcement Act of 1984, the Criminal Fine Improvements Act of 1987, the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986, and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986.
Abstract
Elements of the CCCA discussed in this volume include imprisonment and subsequent release, forfeiture proceedings (including RICO and controlled substances forfeitures), provisions relating to juveniles and young offenders, evidence, and victim and witness protection. Miscellaneous provisions are also discussed, including the National Narcotics Act of 1984, which established the National Drug Enforcement Policy Board. For volume I see NCJ-119239 through 119252.
