Sections of the Act outline the duties of the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts in relation to fines; establish special assessments; define petty offense; eliminate obsolete provisions; set authorized fines; define imposition of a sentence of fine and revision of modification or remission of a fine; and detail procedures of interim and permanent provision of fines.
