The report is limited to dispositional data on delinquency cases and does not cover dependency cases. The statewide summary tables provide disposition and placement summaries, delinquency dispositions for 1983-1988, mean and median case time lapse, disposition by sex and race, attorney representation by disposition, cases with special conditions attached to dispositions, a summary of all disposition activity, and outcomes of placement and dispositional reviews. County tables provide data on total dispositions and rate per 100,000 of juvenile population and percent change between 1985 and 1988 by disposition and placement. County data also cover dispositions by source of referral, by type, and by race and sex. Placements are recorded by type of service. Dispositions are presented as well by school status, family status, living arrangement of youth, number in household, and household income. Other data address the number and type of substantiated offenses, dispositions by age, type of detention and number of days, secure detention by most serious alleged and substantiated offense, special conditions attached to dispositions, and drug charges by grading and disposition. 38 tables.
