The Good Start Program provides home-based early intervention to families at risk of child maltreatment.
Abstract
From its inception, the program has included ongoing evaluation to identify the characteristics of the families served and areas of program impact. Preliminary analyses of family problems at program entry, service issues addressed, and changes in family functioning suggest that families are improving over the course of treatment and provide beginning indications about which families are most likely to improve. 12 references, 2 tables.
