This document contains the provisions of the agreement between Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, and Northern Ireland concerning the prevention and suppression of drug trafficking and the misuse of drugs.
Abstract
In accordance with this Agreement and to the extent permitted by their respective laws, these countries have granted each other assistance in investigations and proceedings in respect of drug trafficking including the tracing, restraining, and confiscation of the proceeds of drug trafficking. Also, cooperation has been encouraged between their law enforcement agencies and in the development of welfare programs related to the misuse of drugs. In order to prevent the misuse of drugs, these countries have agreed to exchange information and experience about the development of experimental programs, and share information and experience about the promotion of health and social education, with particular reference to young people.
