The monthly profile of Florida's detention facilities inmate population provides average daily population figures for May 1989 collapsed into male and female categories for both adult and juvenile inmates.
Abstract
Population figures are categorized into felony, misdemeanor and "other" subcategories. Felony and misdemeanor subcategories are further divided into inmates held for trial or sentencing and those detained or sentenced for violation of probation. The "other" subcategory details parole violators, State inmates, undocumented aliens, holdings for other jurisdictions and individuals detained under the Baker (mental health) and Myers (alcoholism) Acts. Also included are average daily population figures, incarceration rates for each county, pretrial inmate levels for each facility and the number of overcrowded county detention facilities.
